For Authors: Want to Collaborate with ReadHer?

First, thank you for even considering us! We are a brand-new business, and the fact that you want to collaborate is truly humbling.

Second, ReadHer is super excited about the opportunity to work with authors! As readers, we're fans first, so the chance to collaborate is always something we’re thinking about.

Okay, so now the details:

  • ReadHer is a book subscription box for women.

  • Books need to be a minimum of 200 pages.

  • All books featured in ReadHer will be written by Black authors.

  • The subject matter, as of now, is Black romance, meaning that both main characters in the love story should identify as Black/African/African-American, etc.

  • The protagonist will not have a non-Black lead love interest or central character.

Why?

One of the many goals of ReadHer is to share Black stories. We want every ReadHer box to provide a reading experience that highlights and celebrates the Black experience. We believe that stories that uplift Black culture and Black love are one of the many ways we can tell our own stories, share our journeys, and showcase the beauty of Black people and Black relationships.

To ensure this mission stays intact, we ask that all authors interested in collaborating with ReadHer consider these questions:

✅ Does my book celebrate Black culture?
✅ Is it a positive representation of Blackness? (We will not include books that denigrate Black people)
✅ Does my book tell an engaging story of Black love and relationships?

Pricing Policy

ReadHer offers wholesale pricing at 50%-60% off retail price. As a small business, our bi-monthly boxes are costly to put together, but we remain committed to making this collaboration beneficial for both authors and readers.
