Meet our Founder
Meet Ashley, the founder of ReadHer. A first-gen Afro-Latina, lifelong reader, and unapologetic Black romance fan, Ashley created ReadHer to give indie Black authors the shine they deserve. After 15 years in higher ed, she saw how often Black stories, especially stories about love, were overlooked. ReadHer was born out of a love for books and a need for representation. It's more than a subscription box. It's a celebration of Black joy, storytelling, and community.
